## Step 8 of UI Modernization with daisyUI

**Note: Close existing PR #39 before starting.**

### Scope of Work

**1. Theme Options with daisyUI**
- Use daisyUI's built-in theme system
- Implement theme switcher with daisyUI `toggle` or `select`
- Support themes: light, dark, corporate, winter, etc.
- Use daisyUI `data-theme` attribute for theme switching
- Persist theme preference in localStorage

**2. User Preferences Page**
- Style preferences page with daisyUI `card` layout
- Use daisyUI `toggle` for boolean settings
- Apply daisyUI `select` for dropdown preferences
- Add daisyUI `input` for text/date preferences
- Use daisyUI `btn` for save actions

**3. Density Settings**
- Implement density toggle with daisyUI `radio` or `toggle`
- Apply daisyUI's size variants (btn-sm, btn-lg) for density
- Use daisyUI compact classes where available

**4. Saved Views**
- Style saved view manager with daisyUI `modal`
- Use daisyUI `input` for view naming
- Apply daisyUI `btn` for view actions
- Add daisyUI `badge` for default view indicator

**5. Column Visibility**
- Use daisyUI `dropdown` for column selector
- Apply daisyUI `checkbox` for column toggles
- Style with daisyUI `menu` component

**6. Dashboard Layout**
- Use daisyUI `card` with draggable handles
- Apply daisyUI `collapse` for show/hide sections
